Tutor Partners LLC is seeking an experienced high school English Language Arts tutor to provide in-person tutoring at Camp Glenn Rockey in Los Angeles County. This role supports students in grades 6-12 within a Juvenile Court School setting.

The position requires an associate degree (or 24 college credits) with at least one year of relevant experience and may involve background clearances. The schedule is Monday–Friday, 8:00 am–12:00 pm, through the 2026-27 school year.

Qualifications

• Strong classroom management and communication skills.
• Experience working with students in grades 6-12; juvenile justice or alternative education settings a plus.
• Background clearance requirements (e.g., LiveScan/fingerprinting) may apply.

Responsabilités

• Provide small-group and push-in ELA support during the school day.
• Track and report student progress.
• Participate in instructional planning with teachers and school leaders; administer assessments and coordination meetings.
• Collaborate with Tutor Partners staff and site personnel for scheduling and materials.
• Maintain a safe, supportive learning environment.
