Job summary

Tutor Partners LLC in Barry J. Nidorf Secure Youth Treatment Facility (LACOE Juvenile Court Schools) seeks an experienced high school English Language Arts tutor to provide in-person support Monday– Friday 8:00 am to 12:00 pm, through the end of the 2026-27 school year.

This role partners with LACOE to help students in a juvenile justice educational setting. Requirements include an associate degree or 24 college credits, and at least one year of experience with grades 6-12; Bachelor's preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience tutoring or working with grades 6–12.
• Strong content knowledge in high school ELA including reading, writing, and grammar.
• Experience with English Learners is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide small-group and push-in ELA support aligned to student needs during the school day.
• Track and report student progress.
• Collaborate with teachers on instructional planning and assessments.
