Job summary

Chalk is building a high-growth data platform enabling scalable ML applications. As a Software Engineer, you will join as an early employee with substantial ownership to tackle challenging problems across the stack.

You will work with TypeScript, Python, Go, and React, delivering world-class user experiences and robust data-processing systems, while maintaining a strong focus on developer experience. This is an on-site role in the United States.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
• Experience building reliable data processing or developer tools.
• Experience implementing data infrastructure.
• Experience with developer tools.
• Experience with applied ML or data analytics.

Responsibilities

• Productionize Chalk's first iteration with co-founders.
• Write TypeScript, Python, Go, and React.
• Expose platform functionality to data scientists in their environments.
• Iterate rapidly to improve Chalk's platform based on customer feedback.
