Job summary

The Child & Family Peer Support Specialist at Native American Rehabilitation Association of the Northwest, Inc. (NARA) is an in-person role based at 620 NE 2nd St., Gresham, OR 97030. Schedule is Monday–Friday, 9:00am–5:30pm, with occasional evenings and weekends.

Compensation ranges from $21.58 to $29.24 per hour, Non-Exempt. This position emphasizes sharing lived experiences and connecting program participants to resources for physical and mental health, financial/legal aid, and

Qualifications

Must openly identify as a person who has lived experience receiving mental health services.
Provide guidance and support as a role model throughout the recovery process.
Help clients access health, housing, legal and transportation resources.

Responsibilities

Identify as a person with lived experience and share experiences appropriately to support recovery.
Inspire hope and serve as a role model for clients.
Provide mental health perspective consultation to the team regarding each client's experience.
Assist clients with daily living needs including medical/dental care, legal aid, housing, and entitlements.
Collaborate to promote client self-determination and respect for client rights.
Support client participation in consumer self-help programs and advocacy organizations.
