Job summary

Wipfli is seeking an accounting internship that emphasizes hands-on audit experience and client service. Interns will work in-person five days a week at client sites or offices as needed, gaining exposure to multiple industries and corporate environments.

You will assist with accounting tasks, data analysis, and GAAP-related work while developing professional skills and learning the Wipfli approach to client service. This internship offers growth and practical business advisory exposure.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting.
• Above-average accounting knowledge; GPA 3.0+ preferred.
• Working toward CPA exam eligibility after graduation.
• Preference for Data Analytics or Big Data coursework.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• U.S. work authorization; sponsorship not available.

Responsibilities

• Respond to client and firm requests in a timely, accurate, positive and professional manner.
• Gather information from clients to complete required documents.
• Use data analysis to discover patterns and provide support in recommendations.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes and enhance efficiency.
• Perform audit, review, and compliance testing procedures per standards.
• Prepare financial statements and footnotes with engagement leaders.
