Job summary

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelors or Master’s degree in Accounting; completion of corporate or individual taxation class is preferred.
• Above average accounting knowledge; GPA 3.0+ preferred.
• Eligibility to sit for the CPA exam after graduation.
• Data Analytics or Big Data coursework preferred.
• Ability to think independently and make good decisions.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work with clients and staff.
• Ability to prioritize work, take initiative, and meet deadlines.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis; no visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Respond to client and firm associate requests in a timely, accurate, positive and professional manner.
• Gather information for completion of required documents.
• Use data analysis to discover useful information and patterns to support recommendations.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes and increase efficiency.
• Perform audit, review, and compliance testing procedures as directed by engagement leaders.
• Communicate with engagement leaders regarding open items or testing issues.
• Prepare client financial statements, footnotes, and management reports.
• Develop GAAP knowledge related to assigned product line.
