Stony Brook University Hospital CACU is seeking a Medical Assistant for the In Patient CACU, full-time night shift. You will perform clinical, laboratory, and clerical tasks, assist physicians, take vital signs, prep patients for exams, collect specimens, and support patient flow in a busy hospital.

Minimum qualifications include completion of a Medical Assistant program or current MA certification; EMR experience and BLS certification are preferred.

Qualifikationen

• One year of full-time clinical and clerical experience in a health care setting OR completion of a Medical Assistant program.
• Experience with EMR is preferred.
• Current BLS/Heart Saver certification and MA certification are preferred.

Aufgaben

• Perform clinical, laboratory, and clerical duties under supervision.
• Greet and direct patients and ensure smooth patient flow.
• Take vital signs, collect specimens, and assist with examinations.
• Prepare patients for exams and procedures; chaperone as needed.
• Assist physicians with procedures and monitor patient safety.
• Maintain cleanliness of patient areas and stock supplies.
