Job summary

Veros Clinical Services and Horizon Primary Care is seeking a Billing Specialist to ensure claims billed to payers are accurate for timely reimbursement. The position requires hands-on medical billing experience and familiarity with Greenway Intergy and Phreesia.

A focus on accuracy, confidentiality, and patient data protection is essential. Ideal candidates will have 1.5+ years in a medical office billing role, 2+ years billing experience, and CPT/HCPCS/ICD proficiency.

Qualifications

• Professional verbal and written communication skills.
• Demonstrated knowledge and proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Access).
• Knowledge of medical billing.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.

Responsibilities

• Insurance account balance follow up for all divisions.
• Contact insurance plans for status of outstanding claims and resubmits/appeals as required.
• Submits any medical records requested for claims to process.
• Reviews and corrects all claim denials from payment specialist.
• Answers incoming billing phone calls.
• Other responsibilities as delegated by management.
• Back up to be done by Guarantor AR specialist.
• Other duties as assigned.
