Job summary

Valley Comprehensive Community Mental Health Center Inc. is seeking a Billing Assistant to support the Revenue Manager in preparing and submitting medical claims to commercial insurers, Medicaid/Medicare, and other payers.

You will work with the EMR/PMS system to generate reports, audit data, and ensure accurate client ledgers. The role requires strong Excel skills, HIPAA compliance, and excellent communication to coordinate with staff, management, and insurance representatives.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience with medical billing and HIPAA rules preferred.
• Strong computer skills and familiarity with Excel for data analysis.

Responsibilities

• Run reports from EMR/PMS and other sources to identify missing or incorrect data.
• Create and distribute instruction manuals for directors and supervisors.
• Use EMR/PMS to generate reports auditing services and admission setup for issues affecting claims.
• Document steps taken in EMR/PMS forms for each claim or client account.
• Transfer EMR/PMS reports to Excel for validation and reporting.
