Job summary

BKM Management Company in Newport Beach, CA is seeking an experienced Director to lead the Property Accounting team and scale the company’s real estate platform. This hands-on role ensures timely, accurate financial reporting across a growing multi-tenant portfolio.

You’ll partner with Property Management, Asset Management, Fund Finance, and senior leadership to translate priorities into reliable execution, develop talent, and strengthen controls in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of commercial real estate accounting experience across multi-property portfolios.
• 7+ years of progressive management experience including leading managers and staff.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, internal controls and financial reporting.
• Experience with multi-tenant properties including lease accounting and CAM reconciliations.
• Proficiency with Yardi Voyager and advanced Excel capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead Property Accounting team with staffing, performance expectations and accountability.
• Oversee full-cycle accounting and financial reporting across the portfolio.
• Coordinate reporting to equity partners and lenders with explanations of variances.
• Work with Property and Asset Management on accounting matters for tenants and projects.
• Strengthen internal controls and streamline close processes.
