Job summary

Expeditors is seeking a seasoned real estate attorney to join our Assistant Corporate Counsel team supporting Real Estate and Global Sourcing. This role offers exposure to a dynamic international practice spanning commercial real estate matters and vendor and procurement contracts.

As an Assistant Corporate Counsel, you will advise landlords, vendors, and internal clients, draft, review, and negotiate complex agreements, and contribute to litigation management and strategic initiatives across

Qualifications

• JD and active license to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
• 5+ years of legal practice, with deep experience in commercial real estate.
• Prior in-house experience preferred; law firm experience welcomed.
• Excellent judgment, the ability to work both independently and collaboratively, and a sense of humor.
• Strong analytical, interpersonal, and written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent organizational skills with a high level of attention to detail and accuracy.
• Industry experience in logistics, supply chain, or transportation is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Handle real estate leasing, amendments, estoppels, and construction build-outs.
• Lead or support commercial procurement and capital project contracting.
• Provide clear, business-centric legal guidance to internal clients.
• Partner cross-functionally with legal, procurement, and operations teams worldwide.
• Assisting with outside counsel management as part of the Legal Department’s strategic initiatives.
