Job summary

Expeditors is seeking a seasoned real estate attorney to join as Assistant Corporate Counsel in the Real Estate and Global Sourcing practice group. You will support the global Legal Department in landlord negotiations, vendor contracts, and procurement matters, with exposure to international operations.

You will draft and negotiate complex agreements, advise internal clients on risk mitigation, and contribute to litigation management and strategic initiatives across time zones.

Qualifications

• JD and active license to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
• 5+ years of legal practice with deep experience in commercial real estate.
• In-house experience preferred; law firm experience welcomed.

Responsibilities

• Handle real estate leasing, amendments, estoppels, and construction build-outs.
• Lead or support commercial procurement and capital project contracting.
• Provide clear, business-centric legal guidance to internal clients.
• Partner cross-functionally with legal, procurement, and operations teams worldwide.
• Assist with outside counsel management as part of the Legal Department's strategic initiatives.
