Job summary

Fusion Healthcare Ltd. in partnership with South Hadley Rehab and Nursing Center in South Hadley, MA, is seeking a Full-time Physical Therapist Assistant to join their new in-house therapy team.

As part of a dedicated, recently managed facility, the PTA will administer treatments, develop and follow plans of care, educate residents and families, and collaborate with physicians, nurses and other therapists to promote mobility and reduce pain.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
• Current state PTA license in good standing.
• CPR/BLS certification (required).
• Previous experience in a skilled nursing or subacute rehab setting preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Administer treatment to residents to relieve pain and improve function.
• Follow established plan of care and complete required documentation.
• Provide clinical support and educate patients, families and caregivers.
• Monitor patient response to treatment and adjust as needed.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals and document care history.
