Job summary

Avir at Tierra Este in Fairfield, TX seeks a PRN Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our in-house therapy team in a skilled nursing facility. Schedule is 15 hours/week with weekday and/or weekend flexibility; duties include evaluations, treatment planning, AAC implementation, and team collaboration.

Candidate will provide education to residents and caregivers, coordinate with physicians for diagnostic procedures, and ensure compliant documentation with billing and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Licensed SLP in Texas (or eligible to license).
• Experience with swallowing and cognitive assessments.
• Ability to educate residents and caregivers.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate residents for swallowing or cognitive deficits.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to improve independence.
• Provide AAC systems and training for communication disorders.
• Coordinate with other professionals for diagnostic swallowing procedures (MBSS, FEES).
• Maintain accurate billing records and clinical documentation.
• Ensure confidentiality and compliance with laws and standards.
