Omaha Public Power District is seeking an experienced Paralegal, Legal Services to support its expanding in-house legal team. You will work across diverse matters, perform legal research, manage documents, assist with litigation, and coordinate with internal teams and board governance.

You will handle sensitive information with discretion, maintain strong written and verbal communication, and help improve workflows as the department grows.

Qualifications

• Experience in a professional legal environment and managing multiple priorities.
• Paralegal experience supporting multiple attorneys across matters.
• Experience handling privileged or confidential information with discretion.
• Familiarity with legal research tools and legal tech platforms.

Responsabilités

• Manage legal document intake and response (subpoenas, records requests, etc.).
• Review and steward legal documentation for accuracy and consistency.
• Conduct legal research and prepare summaries and memoranda for attorneys.
• Assist with drafting and proofreading legal correspondence, filings, and documents.
• Support litigation, discovery, legal holds, and document collection with stakeholders.
• Serve as liaison among internal teams, attorneys, outside counsel, and other legal entities.
• Monitor regulatory developments impacting utility operations.
• Assist with Board governance logistics and corporate records.
