Job summary

Bully Pulpit International seeks a junior in-house commercial counsel to support BPI Legal in analyzing, reviewing, negotiating, and marking up a wide range of client- and vendor-facing commercial contracts at a marketing, creative, digital advertising, and communications consultancy.

You will shepherd contracts from NDAs to vendor agreements, advise internal stakeholders, and manage contract lifecycle tasks in collaboration with the contracts manager, upholding confidentiality and risk

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years' experience drafting and negotiating commercial contracts.
• J.D. from ABA-accredited law school.
• Bar admission in good standing with at least one state Bar.
• Ability to communicate complex legal concepts to non-legal stakeholders.
• Familiarity with common commercial contract terms including IP.
• Strong ethics and ability to handle confidential information.
• Ability to manage a dynamic workload and shifting priorities.

Responsibilities

• Commercial contracts: shepherd NDAs, service and vendor agreements from drafting to execution.
• Negotiate terms and counsel internal stakeholders in plain English.
• Contract management: coordinate with contracts manager and CLS tools.
• Risk management: identify and flag legal and business risks.
