Job summary

Circular Services in New York City is seeking an Associate General Counsel to build and lead the legal function, handling commercial transactions, regulatory compliance, and risk management across the U.S.

The role partners with the Chief Legal Officer and cross-functional teams to negotiate contracts, oversee governance and compliance programs, manage outside counsel, and support strategic growth initiatives. Some travel to operating locations is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 10+ years as a licensed attorney.
• Experience supporting industrial/manufacturing and services operations.
• Proven track record in complex deals and partnerships, with contract management.
• Strong analytical and detail-oriented approach.
• Exceptional communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management.
• High integrity, professionalism, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Strategic thinker with business growth focus.
• Experience with CLM tools like Ironclad and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day legal matters across the facilities, including contracts, templates, and compliance.
• Partner with executives to identify and mitigate legal risks and improve processes.
• Represent Circular Services before state and federal regulatory bodies.
• Stay updated on relevant laws and regulations.
• Manage outside counsel and legal spend.
