Job summary

Sargent Electric Company is seeking a senior in-house attorney to provide strategic and day-to-day commercial legal support for electrical construction, telecommunications, power, utilities, and renewable energy projects across multiple operating companies.

You will draft and negotiate complex agreements, assess risk, and advise leadership on contractual obligations, with a focus on CLM tools and process improvements.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor from an accredited law school and active bar admission in at least one U.S. state.
• Experience advising business and project teams on legal and commercial risk allocation, contract administration, claims, disputes, and project execution issues in large EPC, energy, or infrastructure projects.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic and day-to-day commercial legal support across the full project lifecycle.
• Draft, review, and negotiate EPC, electrical construction, and related commercial agreements consistent with company standards and laws.
• Identify and communicate legal, contractual, and commercial risks and recommend mitigation strategies to business leaders and project teams.
• Collaborate with operations, procurement, finance, and project management to ensure understanding and execution of obligations.
