Job summary

Rising Star Casino is seeking an experienced In-House Counsel/Compliance Officer to manage legal and regulatory affairs in a gaming environment in Rising Sun, Indiana. The role requires handling contract administration, risk and litigation matters, and advising senior management.

The incumbent will ensure compliance with Indiana Gaming Commission licensing requirements and maintain strong written and verbal communication with executives and staff.

Qualifications

• Four year degree required; JD and/or advanced degrees preferred.
• Experience in contract administration, risk and litigation management or other legal background preferred.
• Analytical thinking and clear concise writing; ability to communicate with Senior Management and staff.

Job Qualifications:

Experience Required: Experience working in gaming or other highly regulated environment. Experience in contract administration, risk and litigation management or other legal background preferred.

Education Required: Four year degree required; Juris Doctor (JD) and/or additional advanced degrees or course work preferred.

Skills, Knowledge and/or Abilities Required: Analytical thinking, clear concise writing; communication skills to Senior Management staff and line personnel; ability to manage multiple projects and tasks with varying priority and deadlines.

Licenses, Certifications, Bonding, and/or Testing Required: Must be able to obtain: Indiana Gaming Commission Occupational License – Level 1.

Other Specialized Requirements: Computer literate.
