Job summary

Talentify in Indiana seeks a Financial Compliance Manager to oversee accounting controls, audit processes, and regulatory filings with the Indiana Gaming Commission.

You will supervise ledgers, payroll, accounts payable, revenue audit, and purchasing, ensuring adherence to company policies and state gaming regulations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required in accounting, finance, or related field.
  • Master's degree preferred for advanced roles.
  • Experience with regulatory compliance and financial reporting is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and monitor policies for operational, accounting and auditing practices.
  • Ensure compliance with the IGC regulations related to span of control.
  • Monitor the effectiveness of established audit functions and implement improvements.
  • Prepare daily reports and month-end financial statements.
  • Prepare balance sheet analysis for 40+ accounts including gaming tax liability.
  • Prepare and file RG3 through RG9, cash flow and owners' equity reports to the Indiana Gaming Commission.
  • Establish procedures to safeguard company assets.
  • Supervise General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Payroll, Revenue Audit, Purchasing and Count Process.
  • Establish policies and records in AR, payroll, GL, AP, revenue audit and purchasing in line with company policy and gaming regulations.
  • Prepare financial reports, statements, and analyze general ledger accounts.
  • Review payroll-related tax reports for accuracy and proper GL reconciliation.
  • Interview and evaluate vendors to ensure compliance with standards.
  • Establish and monitor supplier performance standards.
  • Assist with MBEs/WBEs compliance reporting.
  • Maintain safety-related certifications as required by insurers and law.
  • Provide service to internal and external customers reflecting our S.T.A.R. values.

Essential Job Functions
  • Helps in development of policy regarding operational, accounting and auditing practices.
  • Ensures compliance with the IGC regulations as they pertain to span of control.
  • Continually monitors the effectiveness of the established audit functions and make changes where necessary.
  • Manages the preparation of daily reports and month-end financial statements.
  • Manages the preparation of the balance sheet Account Analysis for over 40 balance sheet accounts including gaming tax liability, point liability and allowance for doubtful accounts.
  • Responsible for the preparation and filing of the RG3 through RG9, cash flow and owner's equity reports to the Indiana Gaming Commission.
  • Establishes procedures to monitor and safeguard Company assets.
  • Directly manages General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Payroll, Collections, Revenue Audit, Purchasing and Count Process.
  • Establishes policies, procedures, controls and records in accounts receivable, payroll, general ledger, accounts payable, revenue audit and purchasing consistent with company policy and federal, state and gaming regulations.
  • Prepares financial reports, statements, and analyzes general ledger accounts.
  • Reviews all payroll related tax reports for accuracy and proper clearing of the corresponding general ledger accounts.
  • Interview and evaluate vendors to the company, analyze their ability to perform according to established corporate and operational standards.
  • Establishes and monitor supplier performance standards.
  • Assists with monitoring, tracking, reporting and ensuring compliance with State of Indiana Minority Business Enterprise (MBE) and Women-Owned Business Enterprise (WBE) requirements.
  • Responsible for maintain compliance with safety standards and required safetyrelated certifications within areas of control as required by company insurance providers and legal.
  • Supervises staff under span of control and performs employee performance evaluation.
  • Provide service to internal and external customers which reflects the company culture of Satisfaction, Togetherness, Appreciation and Recognition. (S.T.A.R.)
  • Responsible for immediately informing on-site IGC Agent on duty, Security and Supervisor on Duty of any Internal Control or State Regulation violations related to gaming activity of which you commit, witness or become aware; must report pursuant to company Self-Reporting Policy.
