Responsibilities

• Provide legal guidance to executive leadership and operational teams.
• Represent the company in court proceedings, administrative hearings, disputes, and litigation matters.
• Manage outside counsel when necessary.
• Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, vendor agreements, referral agreements, and client service agreements.
• Ensure compliance with Michigan healthcare regulations, labor laws, and licensing requirements.
• Handle employment law matters including wage and hour issues, caregiver disputes, investigations, and HR compliance.
• Develop and implement internal compliance programs and policies.
• Support business expansion, acquisitions, licensing, and regulatory filings.
• Oversee HIPAA/privacy and risk management initiatives.
• Monitor changes in healthcare and Medicaid laws affecting home care operations.

We are a growing non-medical private duty home care company dedicated to providing compassionate in-home support services to seniors and individuals requiring assistance with daily living activities. As we continue expanding throughout Michigan, we are seeking an experienced attorney to serve as in-house counsel and strategic legal advisor.

Position Summary

The In-House Counsel will oversee legal, regulatory, Medicaid, compliance, and litigation matters for the organization. This role requires a hands-on attorney with strong healthcare and courtroom experience who can support day-to-day operations while protecting the company’s legal and financial interests.

The ideal candidate will have experience with Medicaid regulations, healthcare compliance, employment law, and active court representation.

Key Responsibilities
