Job summary

Rossmoor Post Acute in Walnut Creek, CA is hiring a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our in-house rehabilitation team. You will provide OT treatments under supervision, help residents with ADLs, and implement individualized plans that promote independence.

Qualifications

• Active California COTA license in good standing.
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Compassionate, resident-centered approach to care.

Responsibilities

• Provide occupational therapy treatments according to the supervising OT's plan of care.
• Help residents improve activities of daily living (ADLs) and functional independence.
• Implement individualized treatment plans and therapeutic activities.
• Monitor resident progress and communicate observations to the supervising OT.
• Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant clinical documentation.
• Collaborate with nursing staff, therapists, residents, and families.
• Educate residents and caregivers on therapeutic techniques and activities.
• Assist with home exercise programs and discharge planning under supervision.
• Promote a positive, engaging rehabilitation environment.
