Job summary

Adams & Martin Group seeks a highly motivated Corporate Counsel to join its in-house legal team in St. Louis. The role emphasizes commercial transactions and partnership with stakeholders across North America. Hybrid schedule requires 2–3 days per week in the office.

The successful candidate will draft and negotiate a broad range of agreements, provide practical legal guidance, and help optimize AI-enabled processes while supporting business objectives and managing external counsel as needed.

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school and bar admission in at least one U.S. state.
• 2–5 years of corporate or transactional in-house or private practice experience.
• Experience with commercial contracts and complex transactions.

Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate commercial agreements (supply, distribution, NDAs, manufacturing, tech vendor).
• Provide practical legal advice to business leaders on commercial and operational matters.
• Counsel internal clients on risks and opportunities while supporting business objectives.
• Help implement AI-enabled legal technologies and processes.
• Develop contract playbooks, templates, and self-service resources.
• Identify workflow improvements and technology-driven efficiency gains.
• Support legal operations metrics, KPI reporting, and budgeting.
• Manage outside counsel and legal spend when appropriate.
• Deliver training on contracting, risk management, and compliance topics.
• Monitor legal/regulatory developments impacting the business.
