Solomon Page is recruiting a hands-on Controller for a fast-growing multi-unit retail operator with nearly 100 locations. Reporting to the CFO, this leader will bring accounting in-house and build a scalable function to support continued growth.

The role owns close, reporting, controls, acquisition support, audit coordination, and team development. Responsibilities include leading monthly, quarterly, and annual close across multiple entities, transitioning accounting from an outsourced provider,

Qualifications

• 7+ years of progressive accounting experience with ownership of close and reporting.
• Controller/Assistant Controller or Accounting Manager leadership experience.
• Strong GAAP knowledge, controls, reconciliation, Excel, and multi-entity accounting proficiency.
• Hands-on builder who thrives in a fast-growth environment.
• CPA and multi-unit retail, acquisition, or private-equity experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close across multiple entities.
• Transition accounting from an outsourced provider and strengthen processes and controls.
• Deliver accurate reporting to leadership, lenders, and the board.
• Support acquisitions, new locations, fixed assets, and purchase accounting.
• Build and lead a high-performing accounting team.
