Job summary

Opendoor is seeking an experienced Counsel, Commercial to join our Corporate Legal team and scale a modern contracting function at a public company reinventing real estate. You will draft, negotiate, and support a high-volume mix of SaaS, services, data and privacy terms, partnering with Procurement, Finance, and Security.

You’ll help improve intake, templates, and post-signature tracking while delivering practical legal solutions and strong business judgment.

Qualifications

• JD from an accredited law school with active Bar membership in good standing.
• California Bar preferred; eligible to register as in-house counsel.

Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate routine commercial agreements using templates and playbooks.
• Identify and surface non-standard or high-risk issues to counsel when appropriate.
• Summarize key terms for more complex transactions and keep reviews efficient.
• Improve intake, templates, playbooks, and post-signature tracking for smoother workflow.
• Partner with Procurement, Finance, and Security to align on contracting activity.
