Job summary

UnitedHealth Group's HomeCall, part of the Optum family, is seeking a Speech Therapist to assess and treat speech, language, swallowing, and cognitive impairments in home health across Wicomico, Worcester, and Dorchester Counties.

You will determine treatment plans, provide interventions, educate patients and families, and document progress in collaboration with the health care team. Flexible scheduling and full benefits are available for full-time roles.

Qualifications

• Licensed in Speech Therapy in the state of residence.
• Current CPR certification.
• Current driver's license and access to reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Provides services within the scope of practice as defined by state laws and according to the care plan.
• Evaluates patient function and assists in therapy plan development with the physician.
• Treats patients to improve communication, swallowing, and cognitive function as appropriate.
• Observes and reports patient responses to treatment to the supervising clinician.
• Instructs patient, family, and caregiver on speech therapy activities.
