Job summary

Adventist Health in California’s home health and hospice network seeks a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to evaluate and treat patients with speech, language, or swallowing disorders.

Requires a Master’s degree and state licensure, CPR/BLS certification, and a valid driver’s license (21+). ASHA CCC is preferred. You will document progress, review plans, and educate patients on exercises to improve communication and swallowing.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree or foreign equivalent (Required)
• Speech-Language Pathologist licensure in the state of practice (Required)
• CPR or BLS certification from approved vendor per AH policy (Required)
• ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) (Preferred)
• Valid Driver’s License and must be at least 21 years of age (Required)

Responsibilities

• Assesses and documents speech therapy data related to patient assessments, care needs, interventions and outcomes.
• Identifies changes and trends across physical and emotional parameters.
• Reviews treatment plans and assesses performance to modify or write new programs.
• Maintains documentation as required by law and policy.
• Instructs patients on monitoring speech and practicing new skills.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
