Job summary

Charles River Center in Needham, MA seeks dedicated In-home Skills Trainers to assist individuals with ID/DD and their families. You will support daily living tasks, community participation, and behavior management within home and community settings, coordinating schedules with families.

Requirements include high school diploma, direct support experience, and tra inings; a driver’s license and reliable transportation are preferred for home visits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's Degree preferred.
• Direct support experience with individuals with ID/DD.
• CPR and First Aid Certification, Human Rights, Universal Precautions, Mandated Reporting.
• Criminal History Background Check (CORI) required.

Responsibilities

• Develop a schedule and a plan to support the individual in home and community.
• Provide supervision of the individual in home and community; ensure safety.
• Support the individual in community activities and integration.
• Follow family preferences regarding interventions and activities; communicate updates.
• Attend collaborative meetings when requested by family to share information and participate in goal planning.
