Job summary

SuperCare Health in Ventura, CA seeks a PRN Respiratory Therapist to assess patients, implement and support home respiratory care plans, and educate families on equipment use. Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited RT program and licensed as a Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP).
• PRN Respiratory Therapist with relevant experience.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Knowledge of respiratory care equipment and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Receives and documents orders for respiratory equipment and services from customers, patients, caregivers, physicians, or family members.
• Assesses patient needs and determines best respiratory therapy or services.
• Instructs patients and caregivers on proper use and care of respiratory equipment according to policies.
• Communicates with the patient's physician about changes in condition and adjusts the Plan of Care accordingly.
• Completes patient accounts paperwork including Plan of Care assessments.
• Acts as liaison between the patient, family, caregiver, and physician.
• Provides 24-hour on-call service, seven days a week as scheduled.
• Sets up respiratory equipment within the appointment ETA to ensure patient satisfaction.
• Supports other departments as necessary and maintains a professional, safe work environment.
