Job summary

Beth Israel Lahey Health at Home seeks a qualified Physical Therapy Assistant to provide in-home PT services in Massachusetts. Under the supervision of a Registered Physical Therapist, you will implement treatment components, participate in care planning, and perform delegated tasks while monitoring patient progress.

The role requires an Associate degree from a CAPTE-accredited PTA program, MA licensure, BLS, and at least two years of PTA experience in acute care, rehab, or home health.

Qualifications

• Associates degree from CAPTE accredited Physical Therapy Assistant Program.
• Current licensure to practice Physical Therapy Assistant in Massachusetts.
• Active American Heart Association BLS.
• Two years of experience as a Physical Therapy Assistant in an acute care, rehab or home health setting.

Responsibilities

• Provide physical therapy services to patients in their place of residence under supervision of a Registered Physical Therapist.
• Implement components of individualized treatment programs and discharge plans.
• Review plan of care with supervising RPT and accept delegated tasks.
• Perform selected visits/interventions as directed by the RPT.
• Monitor patient response and consult with RPT if re-evaluation is needed.
• Educate patient and family in therapeutic exercises and use of assistive devices.
• Respect patient/family beliefs and goals and treatment preferences.
• Communicate patient needs and changes in condition with the RPT.
• Maintain care coordination with patients, RPT and clinical team.
• Maintain HIPAA confidentiality and complete documentation per policies.
