Job summary

Mercy in Chesterfield, MO provides in-home physical therapy services to patients with neuro and/or musculoskeletal disorders. The role works under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist and involves scheduling visits and coordinating care with offices and other providers.

The Physical Therapy Assistant maintains assessment and treatment plan development, documents progress, and communicates effectively with patients and care teams.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited PTA program.
• Current state license and valid driver’s license.
• CPR certification required.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-home physical therapy services under supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist.
• Assess patients and develop treatment plans.
• Schedule patient visits and coordinate with office daily.
• Work weekend and on-call rotation.
• Handle confidential information and communicate with agency staff, physicians, hospital staff and the public.
