Job summary

Mercy is seeking a Physical Therapy Assistant to provide in-home services for patients with neuro or musculoskeletal disorders, under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist. Graduate of an accredited PTA program with a current state license and CPR certification; drivers license required; two years' acute or home care experience preferred.

• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program.
• Current state license and valid driver's license.
• CPR certification.
• Two years' experience in acute care or home care preferred.
• Good assessment and treatment planning skills; able to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-home physical therapy under supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist.
• Independently schedule patient visits and manage daily scheduling.
• Communicate and document patient progress; maintain confidentiality.
• Respond to emergencies and drive in hazardous conditions when required (as needed).
