Job summary

CGH Medical Center in Sterling, IL seeks a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) for PRN/part-time shifts with start times between 7 a.m. and 8 a.m. The role includes range of motion exercises, ultrasound, electrical stimulation, whirlpool, and in-home therapy under supervision of a PT.

You will educate patients and families on treatment goals, document progress, and support staff and care teams while contributing to the department’s improvement efforts and community outreach programs.

Qualifications

• Associate Degree as a Physical Therapist Assistant required.
• Illinois PTA license required within 6 months of hire.
• Valid Illinois driver's license required.

Responsibilities

• Treat patients under supervision of a PT and document progress.
• Educate patients and families on treatment goals.
• Provide in-home therapy as ordered.
• Supervise support staff and coordinate with care team.
• Contribute to quality improvement and community outreach.
