Job summary

Mass General Brigham Home Care is seeking a licensed Physical Therapist Assistant to provide in-home physical therapy services under the direction of a registered PT. The role covers Framingham, Marlborough, Hudson and surrounding towns with a 36-hour schedule, primarily weekdays.

You will document visits, apply standard treatment procedures, and teach patients and caregivers while coordinating with families, physicians and other health professionals to meet patient needs.

Qualifications

• Two years experience in acute care, rehab or homecare as a Physical Therapy Assistant.
• Licensed as a Physical Therapist Assistant in Massachusetts.
• Proficient computer skills and ability to learn other software applications.
• Strong verbal, written and electronic communications skills.
• Travel within Mass General Brigham Healthcare at Home's geographic area.
• Ability to work with various computer software required and knowledge of hand-held patient care computer devices.

Responsibilities

• Provide physical therapy services, under the direction of a registered physical therapist to patients in their place of residence, who have physical impairments, resulting from injury, disease, disability or other causes.
• Collaborate with patient, family, physician and other allied health professionals to identify patient needs and coordinate services to meet those needs.
• Daily documentation is thorough and timely.
• Application of standard treatment procedures.
• Teaching is provided to patients and caregivers.
