Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Supervise Physical Therapy Assistants, temporary licensees and students when applicable, per state rules.
• Maintain adherence to department schedules, timely documentation and attend related meetings.
• Participate in patient care and staffing conferences; collaborate with team.
• Refer patients to other disciplines to address comprehensive needs.
• Consult with rehabilitation team to select appropriate therapy regimens.
• Adapt therapy plans to meet individual patient needs and progression.
• Promote safety and eliminate hazards; ensure equipment is safe and functional.
• Carefully select and use therapeutic techniques: therapy exercises, gait training, manual therapy, airway clearance.
