Job summary

Job Bank is seeking a caregiver to provide in-home personal care and companionship in Gloucester, ON. The position is permanent full-time, requiring 30 hours per week at a rate of 22.50 CAD per hour. The successful candidate will work at the client’s home and perform duties such as bathing assistance, meals, light housekeeping, and companionship.

Candidates should have a Personal Support Worker Certificate and 1–2 years of relevant experience. A criminal record check and references are required.

Qualifications

• College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year.
• 1 year to less than 2 years of experience required.
• Personal Support Worker Certificate must be held.

Responsibilities

• Administer bedside and personal care.
• Administer medications.
• Assist clients with bathing and other personal hygiene tasks.
• Assist in regular exercise (e.g., walks).
• Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties.
• Provide companionship.
• Prepare and serve nutritious meals.
