Job summary

Norton Sound Health Corporation is seeking a Personal Care Attendant to deliver in-home support to consumers enrolled in the In Home Support/PCA Program in Nome, Alaska. The role focuses on assisting with daily living activities and ISP-driven tasks, ensuring comfort, safety, and independence at home.

Successful candidates will demonstrate compassion, strong communication, teamwork, and confidentiality, with required trainings like BLS/CPR and First Aid upon hire. A driver’s license is preferred.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provide outreach services as a primary worker with clients and families.
• Promote social and living skills and hygiene through ISP-based activities.
• Provide personal care and light chores as noted in ISP.
• Maintain daily reporting through case notes and Medicaid documentation.
• Participate in treatment team meetings and plan recreational/educational activities.
• Develop empathetic relationships to motivate participation in treatment.
• Provide crisis intervention as needed.
• Coordinate with NSHC and other agency personnel.
• Attend trainings and departmental meetings; pursue professional growth.
