Job summary

Visiting Angels of Sumter is hiring In Home Patient Care Assistants (PCA) to enrich the lives of clients across the local area including Sumter, Darlington, and Columbia. You will provide compassionate in-home care, assist with daily activities, and support wellness per care plans.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must possess a valid driver's license, car insurance, and a reliable personal vehicle.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required.
• Training in First Aid and emergency response is provided if needed.
• Ability to manage time and juggle multiple duties.
• Reliable transportation to client homes as scheduled.
• Comfort with light housekeeping and cooking within dietary guidelines.
• Willingness to comply with health and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with personal care and hygiene.
• Accompany and supervise clients during shopping trips and outings.
• Assist with light exercises, mobility support, and ambulation.
• Plan and prepare meals with clients.
• Perform light housekeeping and meal planning.
