Job summary

Visiting Angels of Southern Pines is hiring a In Home Patient Care Assistant (PCA) to support clients in Pinehurst, Southern Pines, Aberdeen and surrounding communities. You will provide compassionate in-home care tailored to each client’s plan.

The role offers flexible schedules, paid training, and opportunities to grow in dementia or Alzheimer's care; applicants should have a high school diploma and a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid driver's license, car insurance, and a reliable vehicle required.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
• First Aid/emergency response training provided if needed.
• Excellent time-management and ability to juggle duties.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with personal care and hygiene.
• Assist with light exercise or walks.
• Plan and prepare meals with clients.
• Handle light housekeeping duties.
• Report health changes or incidents.
• Provide companionship.
• Respond quickly in emergencies.
• Accompany and supervise clients during shopping trips.
• Remind clients to take medications as prescribed.
• Assist with mobility at home and during appointments.
