Job summary

Powerback in Connecticut seeks an Occupational Therapist to deliver mobile outpatient rehabilitation for older adults in ALF/ILF and community settings across Vernon, Manchester, Coventry, East Hartford. The role offers full-time hours and a $5,000 signing bonus with growth opportunities.

A valid OT license and driver's license are required; enjoy a flexible in-home care model and ongoing professional development through mentorship and CEUs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in occupational therapy from ACOTE-accredited program.
• Initial licensure/registration with NBCOT.
• Valid OT license in practice state.

Responsibilities

• Provide outpatient rehabilitation services in-home and in community settings for older adults.
• Supervise OT assistants and students as allowed.
• Adhere to schedule, documentation, and meetings; complete required records.
• Collaborate with rehabilitation team and physicians to select optimal therapy.
• Adapt plan of care to individual patient needs and goals.
• Maintain safety, order supplies, and report equipment needs.
• Design/apply adaptive devices including orthotics and prosthetics.
• Instruct patients in functional activities and monitor progress.
• Evaluate patients with history, tests, impairments, and goals; determine prognosis.
