Job summary

UnitedHealth Group is seeking an Occupational Therapist Assistant - Per Diem to provide in-home therapy, restoring patients to their fullest physical ability. You will work under a supervising OT and follow the plan of care in patients' homes across Florida.

Qualifications

• Current Occupational Therapy Assistant licensure in state of practice.
• Current driver's license and access to a dependable vehicle or reliable public transport.
• Must be certified and in good standing with the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy: FL.
• Preferred CPR certification or ability to obtain within 90 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Follow state laws governing OT in home care and treat per supervising OT.
• Follow plan of care, instruct and aid patients in evidence-based therapy within the scope of the OTA.
• Observe, record, and report patient responses to treatment to the nurse supervisor and physician.
• Instruct patient, family, caregiver and health team in therapy areas within OTA scope.
• Function in any home situation regardless of age, race, creed, color, sex, disability, or financial condition.
