This PRN role involves coordinating with physicians, teaching daily living activities, fabricating splints, and supervising certified OT assistants while maintaining thorough records. Requires an accredited OT degree and CPR certification.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an occupational therapy curriculum accredited jointly by major associations.
• Registered with the National Registration Examination of the AOTA.
• Two years of clinical experience as an occupational therapist.
• Demonstrates good verbal and written communication, and organization skills.
• Possess and maintains current CPR Certification.
• Licensed driver with automobile that is in good working order and insured.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates functional status and home environment to identify barriers.
• Participates in the development of the total plan of care.
• Performs work capacity evaluation for patients returning to work as needed.
• Develops treatment programs and communicates the plan of care to the physician and team.
• Teaches and retrains patients in daily activities and may fabricate splints.
• Trains patients in use of prosthetic/orthotic devices and maintains records.
• Supervises certified OT assistants and assists with discharge planning.
