Job summary

Capitol Home Health in Central Texas is seeking an Occupational Therapist to implement standards of care for occupational therapy services under the state act. Direct patient care will be provided as defined by the Act, with collaboration from a multidisciplinary team.

The ideal candidate holds an OT degree (Baccalaureate or Master’s), NBCOT registration, a valid Texas OT license, and at least two years of clinical experience. Excellent communication and reliable transportation are required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an occupational therapy program with a Baccalaureate or Master’s degree.
• Registered with the NBCOT National Registration Examination.
• Licensed Occupational Therapist (state license) in the employing state.
• Two years of clinical experience in occupational therapy.
• Strong verbal and written communication and good organization.
• CPR certification with in-person practical skills evaluation completed.
• Access to reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• The Occupational Therapist is responsible for implementing standards of care for occupational therapy services.
• Direct patient care will be performed as defined by the state Occupational Therapy Practice Act.
