Job summary

Lap of Love is hiring a Full-Time In-Home Veterinarian to serve Lakeland, FL and surrounding areas including Davenport, Plant City and Winter Haven. This mobile role focuses on hospice and euthanasia care delivered in clients’ homes with a balance of professional fulfillment and personal freedom.

We offer mentoring, flexible schedules (2–5 days per week depending on market), and a comprehensive benefits package including health, retirement, and wellness support.

Qualifications

• DVM/VMD/BVMS required.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license required.
• Availability to work some weekends.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted and up to 100 lbs with assistance.
• Candidates will be subject to a background and motor vehicle record check, post-hire and before start date.

Responsibilities

• Provide hospice and euthanasia care for pets in home settings.
• Deliver compassionate support to families during end-of-life moments.
• Maintain independence in clinical practice with Lap of Love’s mentoring and onboarding support.
• Participate in ongoing training and mentorship programs.
