Job summary

Accendra Health is seeking a Delivery Technician to deliver durable medical equipment to patients in the home. The role involves loading/unloading equipment, documenting deliveries, and providing basic patient instruction on equipment use.

Strong driving history and completion of driver training are required, with a salary range of $19.60–$20.96 per hour. Applicants must be 21+, have at least one year related experience, and meet DOT/FDA standards.

Qualifications

• Education or experience equivalent to a high school diploma.
• At least one year related experience.
• Must be at least 21 years of age or older at the time of hire.
• Minimum of three years driving history required.
• Successful completion of Apria Healthcare's Driver Training Program.
• Must meet job-related requirements to comply with D.O.T., F.D.A. and standards of accrediting body.
• English (reading, writing, verbal).

Responsibilities

• Pulls, packs, delivers and picks up medications, supplies and basic equipment.
• Instructs patients on basic use of respiratory therapy equipment, durable medical equipment, oxygen equipment, and other equipment/services approved by state licensure limitations.
• Loads and unloads durable medical and infusion equipment onto delivery vehicle.
• Responds to emergency delivery calls as needed during regular business hours and on an on-call basis.
• Completes necessary paperwork including daily delivery logs, pick-up and delivery forms and vehicle maintenance logs.
• Maintains supply component of patient profiles.
• Notify supervisor if unsafe home conditions or abuse are observed.
• May clean and assist with the repair of equipment.
• Performs routine vehicle maintenance including checking gasoline, oil fluids, tire pressure and brakes.
