Job summary

Lakes Region VNA and Hospice is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Nursing Assistant (LNA) to join our team. The LNA will provide essential nursing care and support to patients under the supervision of a registered nurse (RN) or licensed practical nurse (LPN).

This role involves assisting with daily living activities, monitoring patient health, and ensuring a safe and comfortable environment for our patients.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
• Certification: NH LNA certification.
• Experience: Home health care experience preferred.
• Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
• Monitor and record vital signs (temperature, pulse, respiration, blood pressure).
• Provide basic patient care (changing bed linens, repositioning, mobility assistance).
• Observe and report changes to supervising nurse.
• Assist with meal preparation and feeding as needed.
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient care.
• Ensure a clean, safe environment for patients.
• Provide emotional support and companionship to patients and families.
• Adhere to infection control protocols and safety guidelines.
• Participate in team meetings and ongoing training.
