Job summary

Prep Academy Tutors of Columbus is seeking experienced educators to provide personalized, one-on-one tutoring in students’ homes across the Columbus area. The role emphasizes building confidence, reinforcing classroom concepts, and tailoring instruction to individual needs.

Ideal candidates hold a bachelor’s degree and a valid Ohio teaching license or equivalent, with strong classroom experience and the ability to travel to student homes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Valid Ohio teaching license/certificate or equivalent credential.
• Demonstrated classroom teaching experience in K–12.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging, one-on-one instruction to K–12 students in the student’s home.
• Support in core subjects such as Mathematics, English Language Arts, Science, Social Studies.
• Adapt lessons to each student’s learning needs and levels.
• Reinforce classroom instruction and help students master challenging concepts.
• Assist with homework, study strategies, and test preparation.
• Build positive relationships with students and families.
• Monitor progress and communicate observations.
• Travel to student homes across the Columbus area.
