Job summary

Prep Academy Tutors is seeking dedicated Academic Tutors to support K–12 students in a variety of subjects. We provide personalized, one-on-one instruction tailored to each student's needs, learning style, and goals.

This is ideal for certified teachers, subject-matter experts, graduate students, or experienced educators who are passionate about helping students build confidence and achieve measurable growth.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or teaching certification.
• Subject-matter expertise in at least one core area.
• Prior teaching or tutoring experience.
• Ability to differentiate instruction for diverse learners.
• Reliable transportation.
• Authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one academic tutoring in core subjects (Math, English Language Arts, Science, Social Studies, and/or Foreign Languages).
• Support students with homework, study skills, executive functioning, and test preparation.
• Develop individualized learning plans based on student needs and assessment results.
• Track student progress and provide regular updates to families.
• Foster a positive, encouraging, and professional learning environment.
• Travel to students' homes throughout the Northern Los Angeles, California area.
