Job summary

Heartstrings Pet Hospice is hiring In-Home Hospice and Euthanasia Veterinarians to serve pet families throughout Menomonee Falls & Germantown, Wisconsin.

As a mobile veterinarian, you will provide in-home hospice, palliative care, quality-of-life support, and compassionate euthanasia, delivering personal care outside a traditional clinic.

Qualifications

• DVM or equivalent from an accredited program.
• Active veterinary license in the state(s) of service.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to travel to homes.
• Comfortable working independently as a mobile veterinarian.
• Ability to lift and maneuver up to 50 pounds with or without accommodations.
• Willingness to participate in rotational weekend scheduling.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-home hospice, palliative care, quality-of-life support, and compassionate euthanasia.
• Travel to scheduled home visits and work in a mobile veterinary environment.
• Perform examinations, medical care, sedation, and euthanasia within regulatory guidelines.
• Educate families about end-of-life options and aftercare considerations.
• Maintain accurate medical records and collaborate with Heartstrings teams.
