Job summary

Advantage is hiring a Hospice Registered Nurse (RN) for a full-time role in Cambria County, PA and surrounding counties. The RN will provide compassionate end-of-life care in patients' homes or hospice facilities, collaborating with an interdisciplinary team to develop care plans and manage symptoms with a focus on comfort.

The ideal candidate will hold an active RN license in the state or be eligible for NCLEX, with strong clinical assessment and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in the practicing state or eligibility to take NCLEX.
• Minimum 1 year of hospice, palliative care, or related field experience preferred but not required.
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
• Compassionate and empathetic approach to patient care.
• Knowledge of hospice regulations and practices is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled nursing care to hospice patients in their homes or in a hospice facility.
• Assess patient needs and develop individualized care plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team.
• Administer medication, monitor vital signs, and manage symptoms to ensure patient comfort.
• Educate and support patients and their families regarding end-of-life care and symptom management.
• Coordinate care with other healthcare professionals and community resources.
• Offer emotional support, counseling, and education to patients and their families, addressing their unique needs and concerns.
